The Cap Sportful Aqua Light Cycling is a technical cycling cap specially designed for riding in inclement weather. It’s the perfect complement to the rain jacket from the same line (Aqua Light Jacket), it fits perfectly under your helmet to protect the upper part of your face from raindrops, splashes from the road or gravel trails.

Unlike traditional cotton cycling caps that soak up water and become heavy, this model features a modern design made of lightweight, water-repellent synthetic fabric. It acts as a barrier against water and wind while maintaining excellent breathability to prevent your head from overheating during exercise.

Does this cap interfere with helmet fit? Not at all. Sportful specifically designed this cap for cycling. The fabric is extremely thin, and the seams are flat. It conforms perfectly to the shape of your head and fits under any modern bike helmet without requiring you to drastically adjust the rear dial.

Is it 100% waterproof like a swim cap? No , and that’s a deliberate design choice. If it were completely sealed, heat and sweat from your head would be trapped, creating uncomfortable condensation. The fabric in the Aqua Light line blocks most rain and drafts while allowing your scalp to breathe while cycling.

How should you wash this technical cap? To preserve its water-repellent properties and the stiffness of its brim, we recommend machine washing it at a low temperature (30 degrees maximum) on a delicate cycle, ideally in a laundry bag. Avoid using a dryer or fabric softener at all costs, as these could damage the technical fibers.
