Design flaw.

"Smooth shifting, easy to adjust, but it can't handle vibrations, which cause the derailleur back-shift adjustment screw mount to break, causing it to come into contact with the sprockets. It broke on a simple flat gravel path at 20 km/h, causing the derailleur hanger to snap."

SRAM X5

"As a replacement for a worn-out XO1, it does the job—we'll see how it holds up over time."

Barbabike (4/5)

Two rides, and the derailleur broke!

"Second ride out and the derailleur height adjustment stopper snapped!"

Spam x5 is the best

"Spam x5—the absolute best in terms of price and quality. Just spam, really."

Abnormal play in the mounting screw

"I bought this derailleur to replace an X9 derailleur whose cage was damaged. I installed this derailleur, but it had excessive play around the mounting screw. So I refurbished my X9 using a part from the X5. Thank goodness SRAM doesn’t sell spare parts for derailleurs!"

the same as the original

"I've had it set up for a few days now, and... it's just like the original, but less wobbly! It's pretty easy to adjust, and the gears shift like a charm."

Cool

"Super-fast, free shipping... thanks, Probikeshop! The derailleur has just been installed, so we'll have to see how it holds up over time, but for the first few rides, it's working perfectly."

Hoob (5/5)

A safe bet

"A reliable choice in the derailleur market. Very good value for money. Quick and easy installation and adjustment. Smooth and fluid operation when paired with SRAM shifters. One minor drawback: the adjustment screw for the derailleur angle at the rear of the derailleur is somewhat fragile."
