The Bike carrier THULE VELOSPACE XT 3 Bikes on Hitch is a model as easy to use as it is reliable and safe, designed to transport three bicycles in total serenity, including electric bikes.
Easily installed on the towball by means of a unique clamping handle, this bike carrier is designed to support a high load capacity of up to 30 kg per bike (up to a total of 60 kg), and for transporting wide bikes. In fact, it features a 19 cm distance between the wheel racks so that the bikes don't touch. Once installed in the rails, the bikes are easily secured by removable arms with torque limiters that click into place when the optimum tightening torque is reached. Last but not least, the micrometric tightening straps for holding the wheels are easy to adjust and extremely effective.
Featuring a foot-operated tilting function to keep your hands free, this bike rack will enable you to access your trunk at any time without having to dismantle the bikes.
What's more, this model is upgradeable, with the possibility of extending the loading capacity to four bikes by adding an adapter (sold separately).

"The difference with the other 3-seater model from thulle is that this one can be extended to 4 seats and it's not foldable (only the hoop). Its installation is very practical, but it's better to have two people as it takes up a lot of space. Installation of the bikes is very practical. I have an electric VTC and 3 mountain bikes. I don't regret my choice. I have acquaintances who have other brands and it's nothing to compare with".

"The bike rack itself is perfectly designed. Very efficient and fast fastening system, wide tilting range to open the trunk. Easy to lock. Mounted in 30sec and doesn't move! Two points to note: * the wheel straps are too short for a large bike (a 29' XL mountain bike in my case). You'll need to buy the XXL fatbike straps. * The small clamping arm/clamp is a problem when clamping my large XL AE mountain bike to the rail closest to the vehicle. This is due to the size and shape of the bike's frame. The jaw doesn't reach the top tube, doesn't fit the seat tube and is too small for the down tube. ..."

"Excellent bike carrier, suitable for VTTAEs, however you should consider changing the straps for large wheel diameters such as 29"" (and of course for fat bikes), and order XXL straps reference Thule 985. Otherwise, everything is perfect, solid, with locks everywhere. Ideal. The price is justified. Be careful with the weight of the bikes, some are very heavy, so you need to lighten them as much as possible (battery, saddle and seatpost, stand, etc. . . ) The Velospace 939 3-bike carrier supports 60 kg max - remember also to take into account the weight of the bike carrier (approx. 20.8 kg) and add the weight of the bikes to make sure you don't exceed the drawbar weight supported by the hitch system! A ball hitch can pull a trailer weighing 1800 Kgs, but only support 75 Kgs of tongue weight... ..."
