The Power Lever II is the evolution of the intelligent tire lever. Topeak has succeeded in condensing two vital functions into a tool that weighs less than a cereal bar. The tool consists of two levers which come together to form an ultra-efficient Master Link clamp.
Once separated, you have two sturdy tire levers made of technical polymer. It's the perfect accessory for minimalists who want to be able to repair a broken chain or puncture without the hassle of bulky, heavy workshop pliers.
What's the difference with Power Lever X? The Power Lever II is shorter, lighter and made entirely of composite (high-strength plastic). The Power Lever X is longer, has aluminum inserts for added strength, and is better suited to very stiff tubeless tires. Model II is the ideal choice for road or light gravel.
Are the tire levers strong enough? Yes, the polymer used by Topeak is renowned for its rigidity. However, for downhill tires (DH) or very thick casings, the leverage will be less than with a longer tool.
Is it compatible with 12-speed chains? Absolutely. It works perfectly with the narrow links of 11- and 12-speed drivetrains.
