Description
The TOPEAK Roadie DA (for Double Action) hand pump is a compact pump that doubles your efficiency. Unlike conventional pumps that only push air when you compress the plunger, Double Action technology sends air into your tire with every movement: push AND pull.
Specially optimized for thin, high-pressure road tires, it reaches 8 bar (120 psi ) with much less effort and in half the time. Its slim aluminum body slips easily into a jersey pocket or fits discreetly under your bottle cage.
Is it harder to pump because of the Double Action system? On the contrary. The Roadie DA is designed with a small-diameter cylinder, which reduces the force required for each stroke. You pump air more often, but with less resistance than with a conventional high-volume pump.
Is it compatible with mountain bike valves (Schrader)? No, this model is strictly dedicated to Presta valves (fine valves). If you're looking for a version compatible with all valves, Topeak offers the Mountain DA version.
