Description
The Muc-Off V2 valves valves are much more than just colorful accessories. Completely redesigned, now made from aircraft-grade 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum, making them lighter and stronger than the previous version.
Their major innovation is the 6-slot internal airflow system at the base of the valve. This design allows air and preservative fluid to circulate freely, even when using tire inserts (protective foams). No more clogged valves or difficulty in slamming the tire on mounting.
What length should I choose for my rims? For standard MTB rims, 44 mm is sufficient. If you've got profiled rims (road or carbon), you'll need 60 mm or 80 mm to allow the valve to protrude sufficiently for the pump.
Does the preventive clog the valve? Thanks to the new chainstay design, the risk is greatly reduced. However, it's still advisable to dismantle the shell from time to time to clean it if you're using a very thick liquid.
Is assembly difficult? No, installation is very intuitive. The choice of gaskets supplied allows you to create a watertight seal by hand, without having to overtighten the nut.
Why is 7075 preferable? This alloy is much harder than standard aluminum. This prevents the valve from twisting or breaking if you give it a sharp tug.
