WOLF TOOTH MKØ ALT XC CLIPLESS Pedals

The WOLF TOOTH Pedal MKØ ALT (for Alternative) is the flagship of Wolf Tooth's XC range for 2026. Unlike the DEL version (single-sided), the ALT offers double-sided engagement, which is essential in XC MTB where clipping in must be instantaneous under full effort.

Thanks to the use of titanium axles with DLC coating and an extremely machined 6061-T6 aluminium body, these pedals achieve an incredible weight of 218 g per pair. They offer a contact surface of 505 mm², ensuring optimal power transfer and eliminating the floating sensation often criticised in minimalist XC pedals.

Why choose the ALT over the DEL? The DEL (single-sided) is lighter and more aerodynamic, perfect for Gravel. The ALT is designed for XC MTB: the double-sided design allows you to clip in without looking at the pedal, which is crucial on technical climbs or after putting a foot down.

Are the pedals resistant to impacts against rocks? Although lightweight, they use robust materials (stainless steel for the clip mechanism). However, like all "Mark Zero" titanium equipment, they require a little more care than a heavy steel model.

Does the DLC coating on the axle wear down? DLC is one of the hardest coatings in the world. It protects the axle against abrasion from debris and extends bearing life by maintaining a perfectly smooth surface.

Can the spring tension be adjusted? Yes, the release tension is adjustable via a small screw, allowing you to choose between a firm hold for sprints or easier release engagement.
