How to fit your MTB star nut?
The most dreaded operation when fitting a new fork, installing the MTB star nut must be done correctly first time. You will only get one chance, so here are a few tips to get it right on your MTB.

The key to success with this operation is to use the specific star nut fitting tool to place it straight and at the correct depth in the steerer.
- Check that the crown cut of your MTB fork is straight and deburred.
- Place the star on the headset star tool.
- Position the tool on the fork steerer, then strike the tool firmly to drive the star nut in.
- Unscrew the tool, then check that the star nut is properly in place.
