Handcrafted in Germany, especially for Gravel and adventure riding. Road and off-road, the CONTINENTAL Terra tire Trail ProTection 700x40c Tubeless Ready Flexible is robust, fast and efficient on all types of terrain. Its design and lugs are slightly more aggressive than those of the Terra Speed model, for better grip on difficult terrain.
The Terra Trail is built around a 240 tpi carcass (4-ply 60 tpi) under the tread and 180 tpi (3-ply 60 tpi) on the sidewalls. It benefits from top-of-the-range Black Chili rubber, which meets the highest demands for grip, performance and longevity.
This CONTINENTAL tire benefits from the ProTection layer, which covers the tread and sidewalls to reduce the risk of cuts and punctures (even at low pressures). This protection doesn't make the carcass heavier, and even adds a useful cushioning effect on the toughest roads.
Another strong point of this product is that it can be fitted without an inner tube, thanks to the Tubeless Ready, technology, further reducing the risk of punctures.

"Continental, the reference in terms of ease of assembly, strength and grip".
Correct tires with yellow sidewalls
"Very easy assembly, slammed on the first try with the good old strap / foot pump technique on WTB i23 wheels. Well-distributed and efficient clamping, hard to fault in "normal" gravel conditions, a little tight in heavy mud as expected. Rolling resistance seems acceptable to the feel, higher than on terra speed of course. No punctures so far, but not enough distance to judge. One minor comment on the color, which is definitely yellow rather than beige - it's specified in the description, but it's worth remembering."
