The HUTCHINSON Touareg 700x40c Hardskin Tubeless Folding tyre was developed to allow maximum versatility.
By combining all its Road and MTB expertise, the brand has created a tyre durable, high-performing, grippy and capable of following you all around the world. An evolution of the Overdrive model, the Touareg features larger and more widely distributed knobs, for exceptional protection and grip.
Despite this, this tyre maintains excellent rolling efficiency on the road. Grouped into "small-blocks", its numerous small knobs guarantee comfort and speed, on both rolling and more demanding sections.
This tyre features a lightweight and supple casing 127 TPI. It is also reinforced with the Hardskin running from bead to bead. Combined with a thick compound, this reinforcement already proven in Cross-Country protects you against stones, pebbles and other sharp surfaces you will encounter during your Gravel rides.

Nice versatility but a bit "hard skin".
"Tubeless mounting on Zipp 303S wheels and Specialized Diverge bikes. Pressure on road 3 bar, on trails and paths 2 bar front and 2.2 rear. 67 kg rider. Good points: grip on all surfaces, traction on steep slopes, braking, waterproofing and solidity. Average points: road performance with a little inertia due to weight. For the not-so-good: carcass a little stiff, tire bounces on very stony surfaces and lacks comfort".

Good Gravel tire
"Easy mounting, good waterproofing with 60ml of preventive product, used at 3b at the front and 3.5b at the rear which gives it a good comfort/performance ratio; in my opinion made for 60% trail/40% road use: very effective on trails, even muddy, and very sure handling on the road, the studs are not very noisy on the road, but they give a little resitance especially noticeable when climbing."
