The SDG GRIPS Thrice OC (for Oversize Center) are premium grips that stand out with a slightly thicker and ergonomic profile. Designed to reduce hand fatigue and numbness, they use an exclusive SDG dual-density rubber compound.
The distinctive feature of this model lies in its internal structure: the core is thinned at the ends to allow more rubber where the hand needs cushioning, while the single clamp lock-on (Lock-on) system ensures a solid fix on the handlebar. It is the ideal choice for Trail and Enduro riders who spend long days on the bike and want to limit vibrations.
Why choose a 33 mm diameter? A wider grip means you need to "grip" the handlebar less tightly to maintain control. This greatly helps riders with large hands or those who suffer from compartment syndrome and forearm pain.
Are they compatible with carbon handlebars? Yes, SDG's Lock-on system is designed to be safely tightened on both aluminium and carbon handlebars. Simply make sure to respect the recommended tightening torque (generally 2-3 Nm).
