Description
The Shot Furious Kid full-face helmet is the kids' version of the entry-level model from the French brand. One important point to note before ordering: it is ECE 22.06 certified, which is the motorcycle standard, and not the EN 1078 bicycle standard. Many young BMX Race and downhill riders ride with a motorcycle-approved off-road helmet, but this should be an informed choice — please check the club or event organiser's requirements before a competition.
This is not just a scaled-down adult helmet: Shot designed a specific child shell and EPS assembly for it, providing a more precise fit and, above all, a contained weight of 1,150 g ± 50 g — 150 g less than the adult version. On a child's neck at the end of a moto, you really feel the difference.
The SRS shell (Synthetic Reinforced Shell) is paired with a peak mounted on breakaway screws, which yield on impact to limit the rotational energy transferred to the cervical spine. The chin bar features a "Shock-Absorber" insert, the ventilation includes 16 vents, and the hypoallergenic fabric interior is removable and washable — essential for a helmet used in back-to-back training sessions. Double D-ring closure. The combination of gloss blue and neon yellow is one of the most visible in the range.
