❓1. How do I choose the right development range for my practice?

• A wide range (e.g. 10–51 or 10–52) makes steep climbs easier.
  
• A tighter range provides smoother transitions and is suitable for rolling terrain or performance.

❓2. How many speeds to choose (10, 11, 12 speeds)?

• 10 speeds : robust and economical, ideal for hiking or older bikes.
  
• 11 speeds : good balance of versatility/simplicity.
  
• 12 speeds : very wide range, ideal XC, trail, modern enduro.

❓3. How to check the compatibility of my Cassette with my MTB ?

• Freewheel body :
  Shimano H.G. → 8/9/10/11 speeds (except 12 Speed Shimano).
  Shimano Micro-Spline → cassettes 12 speeds Shimano.
  SRAM XD → SRAM cassettes 10 teeth (11 Speed/12 Speed).
  
  
• Derailleur/chain : they must be compatible with the number of speeds.
  

• Brand : avoid mixing SRAM/Shimano on Cassette + shifter/derailleur, except in specific cases which are compatible but not optimal.

❓4. Which material should I choose according to my level and my use?

• Steel : very durable, economical, heavier.
• Aluminum : light butuse faster.
• Steel + aluminum assemblies or machined pinions : light, precise, high-end.
